New Pinpoint Capture Software Makes Machine Alignment a Snap
Peabody, MA, January 2009: Pinpoint Laser Systems is introducing an enhanced version of a unique software application called Pinpoint Capture for use with its popular Microgage line of measuring and alignment products. Capture is a powerful Windows based application for recording and monitoring your measuring and alignment results. Readings from one Microgage display and up to four remote receivers can be viewed on your computer and recorded at anytime and then uploaded to other spreadsheet and statistical packages for analysis. Pinpoint Capture features a large screen format with easy to read measuring values and a choice of plots and graphs to follow your measuring results. Results can be recorded in a manual mode with your own notes as well as in automatic mode where readings from all the receivers are recorded automatically over time.
The Laser Microgage 2D is a powerful measuring and alignment system for industrial applications. A laser transmitter projects a compact, highly focused laser beam that is detected by a portable receiver. The receiver is connected to a handheld display that tells the operator where the receiver is located relative to the laser and the beam projecting from it. Measurements can be made over a range of 180 feet with precision of better than 0.0001 inch in a factory environment. Adding several attachments allows the user to measure flatness, straightness, squareness, parallelism, bore alignment and many other industrial alignment parameters. The Pinpoint Microgage is compact, easy to set-up and use right on the factory floor for both simple and complex measuring and alignment jobs.
