The Laser Microgage 2D brings measuring and alignment versatility to industry in a simple, easy to use and affordable package. The 2D can be adapted to a wide variety of industrial alignment and measuring needs. Each receiver measures in two axial directions (X & Y) and you can have up to 4 separate receivers connected to the Microgage 2D at any given time. Measurements as small as 0.0001 inch are displayed on the large screen and the laser and receiver can be separated by as much as 150 feet for large industrial projects.
The Microgage 2D is compact, highly versatile and has powerful alignment routines to help you with all your alignment and measuring projects. The Microgage 2D display is fully digital with a keypad for entering values, selecting functions and recording your readings. Pinpoint can add additional alignment routines to meet your specific needs. A computer interface also lets you download readings for printing, storage and further analysis. How It Works
The Microgage 2D has two key components, a laser transmitter and a digital receiver. The laser housing is machined with a flat base and sides and a variety of mounting points. A highly collimated laser beam is projected from the end of the laser housing and is parallel to the base and sides of the housing. An electronic receiver picks up the laser beam and provides a digital readout showing the height and lateral position of the laser beam. If the laser transmitter and receiver are resting on a flat surface, the display will read zero. If the transmitter or the receiver is then raised off the surface, the differential position will then be displayed. The display provides readings in 0.0001 inch increments and also shows the strength of the laser signal. A microprocessor inside the display allows the user to change the measuring units, store offsets, and a variety of other practical features. Combined with different optical and mechanical attachments, the Microgage 2D can be adapted to a vast number of measuring and industrial alignment projects.
